The 2006 World Superbike season was the 19th F.I.M. Superbike World Championship season. The season started on February 25 at Losail, and finished on October 8 at Magny-Cours after 12 races.
The rider’s championship was won by Troy Bayliss with a total of 12 race wins, 8 of them consecutive. It’s Bayliss’s 2nd World Superbike Championship. The Manufacturers’ championship was won by Ducati.
